      Dixie Mullins is the Chief Development Officer for Health at the University of Houston (a Carnegie-designated Tier One public research university), where she leads the fundraising efforts for the Colleges of Optometry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Graduate College of Social Work. Previously, she served as the Senior Vice President for Advancement with DePelchin Children’s Center. Dixie has more than 25 years in progressively responsible leadership roles with expertise in comprehensive fund development, campaigns, constituent and alumni relations, and strategic marketing and communications. She served as Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations, Annual Giving and University Events at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) for more than seven years, where she gained extensive experience working in a leading academic health sciences center In addition, she has held leadership roles within three complex integrated not-for-profit health care systems in Texas. Dixie has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University and was awarded her CFRE in 2007.
